Ian Watts and Son Funeral Directors recently did our mums funeral. From arranging the funeral to the actual day Martin showed nothing but professionalism, his staff were outstanding. A funeral is not something to look forward to, but myself, family and friends were all made to feel at ease. Thank you for making a very difficult day so very much better.

We have used these guys for both my Nan and my Mums funeral and I cannot praise them enough. Martin was compassionate, kind, personal and professional, referring to my mum and nan by their names and treating them with the highest level of respect and love. Highly highly recommended.

We have used Ian Watts & Sons for a couple of occasions and each time we have had excellent service with every member of the team being most helpful.

I have used this firm twice and they were brilliant each time – organised and professional but also very kind and personal at the same time.
Luke and Lawrance were wonderful in helping to set up a funeral plan in advance, and when the time came they put it into action with minimal distress for us; Lawrance also guided me calmly and kindly through what it was I needed to do, which can be a bit confusing otherwise.
I can’t speak highly enough about Jess Collins, who led the Celebration of Life at the crematorium. We’re a pretty demanding bunch but she took it all with good grace, working really hard (even on her holiday!) to ensure that what was said was accurate and reflected not only our lost loved one but the way different people in the audience would have seen them. It was a lovely service, with both tears and smiles.
Truly, I can’t think of anything that should have been done differently. A huge thanks for making this difficult time easier for us.

We unfortunately lost both of my grandparents recently and used Ian Watts & Son for both of their funerals – there was no question after the incredible service they provided for my Grandad that we would ask them to help with my Nan’s funeral. They were constant professionals throughout both services, were extremely kind and empathetic and gave my grandparents the perfect services. Dave was a fantastic celebrant, the flowers were beautiful and Martin’s service throughout was second to none. I couldn’t recommend them more. I can honestly say the service from the team at Ian Watts & Son was simply the best, it is very rare, if ever, that that I have rated any service as perfect, but the team absolutely delivered on this word and beyond. My sister and I started our journey with the team when the most brilliant man in our life, our dad, passed away suddenly. From the moment the team arrived at the house to dad being finally laid to rest the word professional simply doesn’t do justice to the team and all they did.  The empathy, tolerance, patience, dignity and sensitivity has been second to none. No detail too small no request too large they were all simply brilliant.

My family and I were extremely grateful for the way you treated us so thoughtfully and with such  understanding, nothing was to much trouble for you.

Everything was expertly done nothing was pushed on to us. The attitude of all the staff was extremely understanding, almost as if they were family. Nothing was too much for them to agree to, such as the request to have growing plants on the coffin as the tribute to Dorothy. On the day everything went like clockwork, the timings , music, video all was first class, even the weather was kind.

Thank you all for your professional experience that helped to make Dorothy’s funeral  a much easier passing. I highly recommend the services of Ian Watts & Son – may they go from strength to strength and help many more familes through this trying time.
